Iwona Kedzierska, M.A., P.T.
Chief Physical Therapist
Iwona brings comprehensive practical and academic credentials to her position at NCNY Rehab. Having attained a combined B.A./M.S. in Physical Rehabilitation, Iwona also completed NYU's Advanced Masters Degree Program in Developmental Disabilities and attained her license as a physical therapy practitioner. In addition, she served as an evaluator in an NIH research project involving children with cerebral palsy.
Prior to coming to NCNY Rehab, Iwona worked as a physical therapy director for a sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation center. She has treated patients with a range of disabilities, from minor joint/musculoskeletal injuries to postoperative orthopedic cases. She has extensive experience treating lower-back conditions, balance disorders, and stroke patients.

Rachel Berliner, P.T., D.P.T.
Staff Physical Therapist
Rachel received her doctorate from Northeastern University's prestigious physical therapy program. As a licensed physical therapist, she has expertise in various orthopedic, neurological, surgical, and balance conditions. Prior to NCNY Rehab, Rachel worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital where she evaluated and treated patients with general medical and neurological deficits.

Rupali B. Vyas, P.T.
Staff Physical Therapist
A licensed physical therapist, Rupali has treated patients with neurological, cardiopulmonary, and musculoskeletal conditions. She has a special interest in vestibular and balance disorders. Rupali has extensive experience with geriatric and adult populations, having worked in acute care, subacute care, and outpatient facilities in the United States and India. She has extra training in several rehabilitation subjects, including pharmacology, diagnostic screening, balance disorders, and falls management.

Pooja Therani, P.T.
Staff Physical Therapist
With experience in acute hospital care and outpatient settings, Pooja has worked with children, adults, and the elderly in New York and India. More specifically, she has managed the care for patients with spinal injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic problems, and arthritis. A New York-licensed physical therapist, Pooja has additional training in vestibular and balance disorders.

A board-certified physiatrist, Dr. Lanyi is a clinical professor of rehabilitation medicine at NYU School of Medicine. She brings a wealth of experience to a variety of rehabilitation conditions, including amputations, musculoskeletal disorders, arthritis, and geriatric ailments.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Lanyi has performed clinical research with a rheumatic disease study group at NYU. She is also involved in teaching geriatrics to rehabilitation residents.

Clinical assistant professor of rehabilitation medicine, Dr. Kim completed a fellowship in neuro-
muscular disease and in electromyography, and is board certified in both rehabilitation medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine. His specialties: musculoskeletal disorders (neck, back, and joint pain); amputations; and chronic pain. He is an expert electromyographer and has published reports in this area.
